Have I ever told you how much I love the rain.....

Those of you in the northern hemisphere, or anyone north of us really, will probably think I'm mad - but I love rain.
I love the sound it makes on the roof and I will, more often than not, stop conversations to listen to it.
I love to watch it fall outside - I can sit and stare out the window for hours - except that it rarely rains for hours here.
Weather reports with rain forecast make me happy.
I guess this is what comes from living in the driest state of the driest continent on earth.
These pics were taken from our brief outing at Mt Lofty Botanical Gardens - I say brief as we didn't realise it was going to rain and we were not really prepared for it. We managed to stay out for about 30 minutes but then we got too wet. It was lovely walking in it though - so soft and gentle. The scenery was beautiful and the smell was intoxicating........
I really love rain
:)

I love the rain too! We are having a bit of it here at the moment and it's making me feel very cosy and wintery.

I LOVE rain!!! I also could just sit and listen to it for hours and hours and hours. Just a shame that we don't get rain here for hours and hours and hours. :(

To me it is the other way around and I guess it is because sun is kind of rare especially in the winter..
But I can understand you very well for I guess rain is the one which is rare at your place.. But when the weather is warm and it is raining I love to go out dancing, hmm do not tell anyone...

Though living in the northern hemisphere I love rain too. I love the sound, the smell, even when it’s raining cats and dogs. It makes everything inside the house so cosy. I love the way rain makes nature look so fresh. However, I don’t like rain for days in a row and drizzle.

Me too, I never used to until I came to SA, but now I look forward to it, and I love hearing the rain falling on the roof as well. The gardens up at Mt Lofty are lovely aren't they?

beautiful pictures! some times its nice to get caught in the rain when your somewhere that makes you want to stay just a bit longer. last year the little girls i looked after always wore gumboots so when it wasnt too cold wed go walking with gumboots and unbrellas through drizzly rain. it was one of the many times i did something for the kids and got just as much out of it my self! so much fun

As long as I am not out in it I love the rain. I am so glad we've moved back to a house with a tin roof, I love the sound of it at night as I fall asleep.

I love rain too. I love how clean & nice-smelling, everything is after the rain. I only don't like when the thunder & lightning come along with it.

I also love the rain too.
Last monday we had a huge storm with lots of rain and also with thunder and lightning that went on and on without even stopping for a minute.
I love your photo's. I see that I have missed much since our computer broke down again so I'm off taking a look around your blog.
Have a lovely weekend.

I'm withyou 100%. Having come from a drought town, Albury Wodonga, with the Hume weir down to 2% earlier this year, I could not understand people's negative attitude to rain here on the NSW mid north coast. After 2 1/2 years I still love the rain, even if it brings mould and naughty dogs who hate to wet their little toessies. I now have the best roof ever, a flat, metal roof and I totally, totally love it. Cherrie

I too love rain, except when it's windy, cold and raining. then I don't care for it as much. But mild weather and rain is simply delightful.
