Future Artists

Hey there, it's Emily, just a quick post to showcase some of the things that all three of us children have been working on these past few days. (by the way, my quilt is practically finished - photos soon, and watch this blog for a post about a parcel I sent to England)

Julian and I have recently been inspired by this book to do some drawing.

These photos were taken on the webcam, you can see me in the background. Our camera is really broken now, fuzzy lines appear on the screen when you turn it on.
It is a beautiful book about gnomes, their houses, their diet, stories about gnomes etc.
Here are Julian's gnomes, gorgeous in my opinion. I should add that I coloured in the second one (just the gnome and his clothes).

I love them. I have been working on my own pictures as well, a gnome of course...

And some figure drawing as well...

Oh and of course, this gorgeous picture of mum, drawn by Louis.

Happy crafting everyone!

I have that book too! Isn't it great? I remember many years ago making a painted-on-fabric gnome and lots of woven hearts.

All your drawings are fantastic!

Hi Emily,
You are certainly a very clever artist. I love your Gnome drawing. Tell mum I now know what she looks like thanks to Louis' drawing. Have fun with the rest of your holidays.

How great are your drawings?!!! I love them all. The webcam was a good idea so we could see all your hardwork! I love that book too.
