first of all, i need to thank all you bloggers that i regularly read for inspiration, because, boy do i need it to keep me motivated. i'm one of those crafters who loves the thrill of the hunt - new project, new materials etc... then i make a start and then i lose my enthusiasm :(
well, i started this cardigan a while ago. got quite far with it (far for me) then noticed it had not one, but three mistakes, so i pulled it out and started again. i was finding it very hard to regain my enthusiasm for this project but then i would trawl blogs and see what you guys were knitting and making and i would be reminded that it's good to persist....that the end result is what will make it all worthwhile. and that i could do it too - this is probably the hardest one for me to come to grips with - but i could make beautiful things if i try - i have the necessary skills, i just need the patience and determination.....
anyway, here's where i'm at so far. the wool is from bendigo woollen mills - luxuary 10ply (aran) in the colour 'lake'. it's lovely to knit with.

hi levin, your cardi looks great, i love the colour! I got to the cuff of the first sleeve of my black cardi and for got about it again! lucky you reminded me about it, ill do some more today (i estimate ill probably finish it on the last cold day of this year!)How are the chookettes doing? If there still not getting along do bring the black and white one back, itd be a great excuse for a visit anyway!
Some projects are like that with me, I love to get all the stuff and then I just lose the motivation and it sits there waiting, waiting until I feel so guilty, I either start it (and then I never finish it) or I put it away in a box labelled - projects to do someday. I have got better though, I only have 2 other projects started that need finishing, the other couple I haven't started yet, so they don't count :)

Oh wow! You certainly have the skills, that's for sure. The colour is gorgeous and that pattern looks great too. I think you are brave to knit an adult cardi, it would take me three years. I am really looking forward to seeing this one finished. X
Hee Levin.
Loved the photo's. Nothing nicer then lying under a beautifull quilt on a cold winter day. We loved Louis note to the birds. We do hope that they appreciate it.
Here all is well. I've started a new quilt with stichery. On the 14 of august we will go to amsterdam to buy the fabric. can't wait.
