Why I'm not currently blogging

Changes have occurred in my home.....big changes, exciting changes but time consuming changes. After almost 8 years of being a stay at home mum, I've decided to study with the view of one day getting a job I love. So, a few weeks ago I started doing library studies and I'm absolutely loving it. I sit in my lectures and I feel like I've come home. Library studies brings together my admin skills, my computer skills, my love of finding information and my passion for books altogether in one lovely job. I'm really enjoying it but I'm also finding it very difficult to get my head around being a part time student and a full time mum and so I haven't made anything lately or done any blogging :(

On another note - look what I got for my birthday.......

Isn't she beautiful. David bought it for me from the Classic Bicycle Shop and it's a bike based on the ones made in the 20's, 30's and 40's. It doesn't have gears (you should see me trying to get up the hills around here - hahaha). It's just a beautifully simple rather elegant ladies bike. I try to practice riding every day as it's hard going, but once I get a bit fitter I know it will be a pleasure to ride ;-)

Well, must go, study beckons and as it is a beautiful day I think I will do my reading outside!

Hope you are all happy and well

What a lovely bike! I love to ride but haven't done so for a long time. Must get back on my bike! Hope you have fun with your library studies. Is that a TAFE course? A friend of mine is looking to study library studies.

That style of bikes is rather lovely. Library studies was something that I thought I would be interested in for the sme reasons as you. Tafe or uni?

How exciting for you to start a new part of your life. I did exactly the same thing at 40 and found it fabulous as I got "me" back. We do have a tendency to loose who we are when we become wives and mothers and nothing refreshes the brain and soul like knowledge. Enjoy yourself Levin.Love your bike!

Congratulations with your 40th birthday (sorry, very late) and good luck with your studies Levin.

Exciting changes! I considered library studies but it would have either meant moving or too much work - I'm just too lazy for all that!

oh levin, I'm so excited for you!! I've been toying with the idea of commencing library studies next year, but I'm scared! I can't wait to hear how it's going for you. Good luck! Oh, and that bike is divine. My bike also doesn't have gears, but that's only because they've ceased to work!

love the bike! i have a cheapo version of a traditional bike, i only used it to get to the shops or the train station. at the moment i don't use it as i don't have a bicycle seat for the baby yet!
