Baby it's cold outside

It's been freezing here in Adelaide this week. We had our coldest day in three years on Monday - it only got to 11C. I know that it's not cold by European standards, but for us it's been very, very cold. We ventured out on Monday in the rain to do a little shopping but since then we have been stuck inside - partly because of the cold but mainly because the boys have colds and I have done my back in. Hmmmm all I did was lean over to wipe down the table and the next minute, I can't move. Pretty scary really and I panicked at first as I couldn't breathe because of the pain. I eventually managed to get to a phone to ring David who advised me to lie on the floor which was all very well but I just put some scones in the oven and I had friends coming for lunch! I did what I was told though and since that time I've been resting, stretching and walking a bit and slowly but surely my back is getting better. phew
We are planning to go away for a few days from Saturday, so I will leave proper posting until I get back (proper posting means a post with pictures and cheery stuff). Until then, take care.

Hope your back is improving ready for the car trip. Looking forward to seeing your holiday snaps when you return to normal posting. It has been cooler here but not as cold as you are having, no rain either. The only good thing about winter is great homemade soup. We're nearly halfway, come on spring.

... and to think Adelaide was baking hot when we visited in February! The temperature over here in the UK is only just starting to rise, we have had very unseasonal days of only 15 degrees in July, which isn't how it is supposed to be. I do hope the colds are clearing up and your back is getting there. A nice break for a couple of days should do you all the world of good. x

hi levin, sorry I haven't dropped by in a while. I hope your back is better, that must have been scary. Would you believe that I have pulled a muscle in my arm doing yoga, and can hardly move it. We take our bodies for granted I think, and then when they're suddenly not working properly it's kinda freaky. Be well.xx.
